Happy New Year!!

Hope everyone had a great New Years!  Ours was pretty uneventful!  Jacob was in bed at 8, I was in bed at 9 and Joe tried to stay up and fell asleep at 11:45.  Maybe next year!  For Christmas this year, we stayed in Florida and did our own little family thing.  Not because we didn't want to come home, but I'm unable to travel with the arrival of baby so soon.  It was nice and relaxing.  We got up, ate breakfast, opened presents and went to Sea World for the afternoon.  Jacob had fun opening presents.  I would say that his favorite was the electric piano.  His love for music continues!

He wasn't a fan of Santa!

16 Months!

It's hard to believe that Jacob is already 16 months!  It's so fun to watch him grow everyday and the new things that he can do and understand!  He now has four words: dada, mama, uh oh and hi.  He talks nonstop, but most of it is mumble jumble.  At his 15 month check up he was 25 lbs and 31 inches.  He is ranked 25 % for height, 50% for weight and 97% for head circumference.  Hoping that means he will be really smart!   He is doing well at daycare.  We get numerous art projects and his favorite is taking walks with the class.

We finally finished Jacob's new room with the exception of the bedding.  He will move into it once all of the visitors have come and gone.  We also need it as our spare bedroom.  Yes, it's a lego room!

Baby Update

This will be my last blog post as a family of 3.  Our little baby boy will be born on Monday.  I have a scheduled c-section at 9am.  I'm very much looking forward to not being pregnant and we are excited to see what the little peanut will look like and how big he is.  It seems like this pregnancy went much faster, but I think that is due to the distraction of already having child to take care of.  We still don't have a name.  We have a few in the running and need to decide soon!  Everyone keeps asking if Jacob knows that I'm having a baby.  The answer is "no".  He's just to young to get it yet.  He has noticed my stomach is different, but by the time that I try telling him there's a baby in there, he is on to his next thing.  He'll find out soon enough!

38 Weeks

Hope everyone has had a great start to 2013!  Stay tuned for baby updates!

Love ~ Joe, Jenny, Jacob & Baby K
