Welcome to my first blog ever. We decided to start this blog so our friends and family can keep up with what is happening in our lives especially with the arrival of the little one. I am currently 26 weeks, due on Sept 7th. Overall, I have felt pretty good! I hope it continues that way! We have been spending time getting the baby's room ready but still have a ways to go! He will be here before we know it. This is really the only picture that I have to share of a decoration for his room. Mickey Mouse themed, of course!
We have also been getting ready for our wedding which is on June 11th. It will be a small ceremony at Joe's parent's cabin. We are very much looking forward to a camping (cabin) weekend! I will be bringing my dog, Belle, home with me when I come. So, in preparation since she has never flown or been in a bag, I set her bag by her bed hoping that she would get used to it. Well, she didn't and couldn't because one of our cats claimed it as his new bed!
Belle had surgery about a month ago and is recovering nicely. She had torn her ACL and her knee cap keeps moving out of place, so they fixed both of them. She doesn't have a cast anymore and she is starting to use her leg more and more. She has absolutely no muscle, so she has to be careful when playing that she doesn't twist it again. (Try and explain that to her!) The doc said the best way to strengthen her leg is either by taking her swimming or walking her up sand dunes....hmm...how about a walk down the street? That seems more realistic!
Other than the baby and wedding, we have been continuing to work on home projects and enjoying the Florida weather. For my birthday we went to Epcot. I can't believe I lived her for a year and that was the first Disney trip I've made! It was a bit rainy the day we went but it was nice because it kept the heat down for us. The warm weather is getting harder and harder for me to handle!
On my actual birthday, we golfed and then went to dinner at Seasons 52. If you ever run across a Seasons 52, we highly recommend that you try it. It is one of our favorite restaurants!
That's it for now. Check back soon and I will post some pictures from our adventure home and the wedding! Thanks for keeping up with the Kiefer Krew or soon to be the Kiefer Krew!
