We have been very busy the last month with visitors! Joe's parents, my parents, a friend, my sister and my aunt and cousins. Jacob loved seeing all the new people and warmed up to them within about 30 seconds.
Heading to the beach
I wrote my last blog about 3 days too early. Jacob is rolling all over the place and trying really hard to crawl. He has his two bottom teeth now too! And his front top teeth will be here any day! He is eating 3 meals a day (baby food) and still loves his bottles in-between. He also has become very interested in our pets. He likes playing tug-a-war with the dog and thinks it's soooo funny when she barks.
There's those teeth!
Jacob also enjoyed hanging in the pool and at the beach. He loves the water!

Just reading my book at the beach!
We ended our crazy last month with a play date for Jacob. It's always great meeting up with Nicole and Miles. Miles is 2 weeks older than Jacob and it's fun to compare what each of them are doing!
There isn't much more to say other than we really enjoyed visiting with everyone that came to see us! Until next time....
Jacob started on solid foods right after his 4 month check up. The Dr. said it was time because he is drinking about 40 oz of formula day. He hated rice cereal at first. He would choke and gag like he was going to throw up. The spoon didn't even have to touch him and he would start gagging. It was pretty amusing to watch. He since has gotten used to rice cereal and is a very good eater. He eats cereal and fruits for lunch and cereal and veggies for dinner. This really hasn't made him drink less formula, but he enjoys having real baby food. We love watching him eat because he has to suck his thumb in between each bite. I think it helps him swallow.
First time trying cereal.
Yuck!
5 Months!!
Jacob is 5 months! He's getting so big!
He can roll over from his stomach to his back, but has absolutely no interest in rolling from back to his tummy. He's really laid back and even half the time when we put him on his stomach, he just lays there.
We are working on sitting on his own right now. He still seems to slump a direction....we'll keep working on it.
It does appear that his first tooth is going to be here soon. I can see it just below the surface!
He loves his jumper! And so do we!! He could bounce in that thing for hours! So much at times that he falls asleep in there.
He is starting to make real sounds instead of just gurgles and screams. Joe is so excited that he finally starting saying da da da da da.

Look...I can suck both thumbs at once!
Looking spiffy to attend a baptism.
Animal Kingdom
We took Jacob to Animal Kingdom last weekend. According to the pictures we don't really need annual passes seeing what he get's amusement from.

This plant looks fun!
Pool Update
The much anticipated pool update. Well, our pool is finally done. Unfortunately I don't have that great of pics yet, but I will get some. We are patio furniture shopping this weekend, so hopefully we can find a few pieces to put back there for now. The patio is huge! It will take quite a bit to fill it up. We actually haven't heated the pool yet. But Joe and I have used the hot tub a few times. It is REALLY nice! Here are some of the pics that I do have of what the yard looked like before and during the build.

Nice big patio area on side of pool.
Child safety fence!
That's all my updates for now! Thanks for checking in!
